Since 1994, the annual Sahaja Yoga Camp for children of Sahaja Yogis has been organized in a picturesque place among nature near Togliatti. In 2004, it obtained the All-Russian status. In 2004, the number of children visitn gthe Camp was 30. The number was growing annually. Last year there were 100 children in the children’s Sahaja Yoga Camp. The camp has only one session which lasts 15-20 days and takes place in July every year. The children are of the age of 9 to 14. In the first years, there were also children of 5.

The aim of the camp is the children’s collective spiritual growth, their upbringing in the manner of Sahaja Yoga culture. The program of the Camp is comprehensive: all traditional Sahaja events (pujas, havans, everyday cleanings), art lessons, health-improving arrangements (sport games, etc.), merry spare time. The camp “Dot of Light” is traditionally organized among nature, near the river in the forest (earlier – the territory of a tourist centre, last year – the venue of the International SY Festival).

Many talented teachers of hobby groups are invited to the camp. Children make different handmade things with much pleasure.

It’s so interesting to decorate one’s tent-house with things made of natural material. All the more, this material surrounds you everywhere.

Every day children and grown-ups make morning shoebeating, maha-basins, clean with lemons and meditate.

The main aim of all the events at the Sahaja Yoga camp is to maintain the children’s state in balance. Each day of the week opens the qualities of a certain chakra. We followed the God-established weekly rhythm.

A game-hike of a searching kind “Following Hanuman’s Tracks” was organized on Anahata Day.

The day of Theatre: the children composed a fairytale in a Sahaja manner and performed it in front of the audience (Vishudhi Day).

The Ceremony of Raksha Bandhan is conducted in the camp every year. It is a very solemn and deep ceremony.

We hope that children who we are raising at Sahaja meetings for children and in the Sahaja camp will become deep, collective Yuva Shaktis in the future. These children are our successors. And we, adults, are responsible for our future and for the future of Sahaja Yoga.
