Saint-Petersburg
The inhabitants of Saint Petersburg were among the first ones to enjoy the opening ceremony of the program devoted to teh year of India in Russia, as well. The organization of this event in Saint-Petersburg was made by the Indian Consulate with which Sahaja Yogis have firm and friendly relations. General Consul, Mrs. Radhika Lokesh, wished the festive ceremony to be opened by Sahaja Yogis and thus showed honour to Sahaja Yoga.

After the concert, Mrs. Lokesh, the Consul, introduced the Sahaja Yoga Coordinators of Saint Petersburg and Russia to Mr. Prabhat Prakash Shukla, an Ambassador of the Indian Republic in the Russian Federation. This moment was photographed for good memory.
The trust and respect of Indian diplomats to Sahaja Yoga collective means a lot. First of all, this means that the status of Sahaja Yoga in society grows and strengthens. Within the Year of India in Russia we have a great opportunity to arrange more Self-Realization programs and forge relations on the official level.
The rest of Russia
The Sahaja Yoga concerts within the Year of India in Russia are already taking place all over the country.
On April 4, 2009, in the House of Culture of Elabuga, there was held a concert by Sahaja Yogis: a holiday in a friendly circle “Hello, India!” The program of this event was bright and colorful: several kinds of Indian classical music (bhajans, ragas, qawwalis) were performed by the music team consisting of the Sahaja Yogis from the cities of Kazan’, Naberezhnie Chelny and Nizhniy Novgorod, classical dances (Kuchipudi) were presented to the audience by Dinara Barhanova and Anna Trifonova (Kazan’), folk and classical dances (Kathak) were performed by the dance studio “Saraswati” (Naberezhnie Chelny). The guests of our holiday were also able to watch the prepared slide-show which reflected the main features of Indian Culture in images. The key moment of the holiday was teaching the fans of India the main thing – the ability to listen to and perceive the beauty of art from the bottom of one’s heart. Spontaneously there was arranged a dance contest for children. Instead of seven invited children, the stage was flooded by nearly 25 little dancers who were happy to dance to the accompaniment of bhajans and qawwali and thus aroused great admiration of the audience.

All the guests of all the concents conducted by Sahaja Yogis were able to enrich their lives with the subtle secrets of the spiritual world and ocean of joy.
